Book Reviews: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

City Of Bones
City of Bones is a truly excellent story, combining all sorts of different mythical creatures in one book is a great idea and Clare does it with a great professionalism. It can be very hard in books like this for every character to have depth in them. Quite often there is only a handful of standout characters and the rest are all pretty flat. Not so in this novel. Every single character has a different voice and personality that shines through the pages. Funny, exciting, deep and scary, it’s no wonder this series has met such high acclaim. Recommended for ages 14-17. Contains coarse language, violence, sexual references and mature themes.

Star4.5
